You have to go with what you want.

Yesterday I was seriously craving beans. Yes. Beans. Since I've begun to eat more meat, I think I've been eating less beans. That's the only explanation I can think of for my very weird, sudden, and overwhelming bean craving. Since I'm the cook and can make whatever I want, I had to go with my craving. And since I totally ran out of motivation to cook additional food, that was it...Pinto beans (what I had in my pantry) cooked with a couple of bay leaves, some carrots, some sprigs of rosemary, and water to cover. After they finished cooking, I added salt and some worchestershire sauce. That's it. It's what I wanted. Beans. I had a big bowl, and I was satisfied. Now, what to do with the leftovers?

It's Saturday, so I want pizza. My family has ordered pizza every Saturday evening for as long as I can remember, and we watch college football, college basketball, or Antiques Roadshow. Never baseball, too boring. I missed pizza on Saturdays when I was at school, and it was one of the best parts of coming home on breaks.

Today I want ... salad with vinaigrette and very little else. Richie and Kelly were here for the weekend and we ate SO MUCH FOOD, I need detox.
