Merry cooking Christmas to me!

Every Christmas and birthday I ask for stuff for my kitchen.

This Christmas I got cookbooks from my dad and brother:

This is my first and only Rachel Ray cookbook. Scoff if you must, but she makes really good, full flavored and fast food that my sexy husband loves.

I also got a couple of kitchen toys from Nana:

This thing will ensure that I don't over- and under-cook my meat.

No more guessing about how many potatoes equal two pounds. I hate that!

And the grand finale from my in-laws:

This is a machine! I wanted a new food processor because mine was making weird noises when I tried to make dough in it (the motor couldn't take it). This one has a 10 year warranty on the motor and comes with a special "blade" and setting for dough. I am so excited! This thing is going to last forever!

Consequently, if anyone is looking for a food processor to use for slicing, chopping, grating, and pureeing (but not making dough), let me know. This one needs a new home:

I am so jealous of your Cuisinart!!! I was just eyeballing them at Williams Sonoma this weekend...right next to the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment!
