It really was that easy! The only thing I had a little trouble with was that even after drying overnight, a few of the pans were still damp (I had three pans total). So I scraped/broke them up and put them back in the oven for a few minutes. Worked great. Ground into a nice powder but it is very salty (I only used about 3/4 cup, since I had fine sea salt instead of coarse). Used it in a chicken and rice soup yesterday and it made a great veg broth. :)
I'm not sure why food is so inspiring to me. I just love the idea of taking mundane ingredients and making them taste really, really good. And I love to feed people. I'd love to feed you if you'd let me.
